Jams
Jamming is what brought most of us to Hootenanny Night and the San Francisco Folk Music Club. We invite you all to join us in jamming and singing along for the last hour of most Hootenanny Night shows in 2003 (except for February). Always check the schedule to make sure if a jam is listed.
Here are just a few of our favorite other local jams. It's a good idea to contact the hosts before you show up because the day and times are subject to change.

Jams at Faith's - Every other Friday. This is the grandmomma of all Bay Area jams. Sample every type of acoustic music here in the sing along and jam rooms. It's been going strong for more than 40 years. 8pm. 885 Clayton St. between Carl and Parnassus in San Francisco. 415 661 2217
Jeanie and Chuck's Bluegrass Jam - First Wednesdays of the momth. In SF at the Plough and Stars. A jam hosted by Hootenanny Night stalwarts, Jeanie and Chuck Poling. Plenty bluegrassy, but you'll hear folk and country as well. Highly recommended.
East Bay Fiddlin' and Pickin' Potluck A monthly event at various East Bay locales. A jamming mainstay.

Starry Plough Jam Every Sunday. Shay Black runs an Irish music session every Sunday at the Starry Plough pub, 3101 Shattuck Avenue (next to La Pena) in Berkeley from 8pm to 11.30pm.
